Warrant issued in jewelry theft case

A Linton woman was charged on Thursday in connection with the alleged theft of homemade jewelry from a local service station. A warrant will be issued for the arrest of Miranda Roe-Keller, 28, of Linton, on the preliminary charge of theft, a class D felony. According to the probable cause affidavit filed in that case, Roe-Keller is accused of taking, but not paying for, a piece of jewelry from a Linton gas station.

A Ford SUV owned by a Greene County Councilman was stolen Thursday afternoon from East Vincennes Street in Linton while the candidate for re-election for knocking on doors seeking votes. A turquois/blue colored1992 Ford Explorer registered to Ken Gremore, of rural Bloomfield, was taken about 2:45 p.m. from a location in front of the Welch and Cornett Funeral home, according to a report to the Greene County Daily World from the Linton Police Department.
