Friday, September 15 Greene County Economic Development Corporation will hold its annual golf scramble at Phil Harris Golf Course. A shotgun start will begin at 8:30 a.m. with lunch at approximately 12:30 p.m. Prices are $50 per person in a four person scramble and $35 for those who are Phil Harris members. Linton City Council cracking down on park vandalism

Members of the Linton City Council, minus Councilman Les Newman, met Monday evening. One of the top items on the meeting’s agenda was to decide the city’s next step in preventing the recurrent vandalism of the restroom facilities at Humphreys Park. The facilities were renovated and updated a few years ago, using grant funding secured by the group “Pride in the Park”, the same group of volunteers responsible for securing other grant funding for numerous park improvements, including new playground facilities, an exercise center, new picnic tables and pickleball courts, among other improvements.. ...
