LSHS students looking to lend a helping hand April 26

April 26, 2024 is Community Day for Linton Stockton students of all ages, a day where groups of energetic youngsters descend upon citizens, businesses and neighborhoods to do good deeds for the sake of helping the community. In the past, Community Day events have included a car wash performed by middle school students, kindergartners making thank you cards and baked goods for city employees, first-graders visiting Glenburn Home to draw colorful and cheery designs upon the sidewalks, second-graders writing letters and cards for the police and fire departments, third-graders painting kindness rocks to leave around the city, fourth-graders cleaning up the park and planting flowers, fifth-graders heading to Greene County General Hospital to show their appreciation to health care workers and high-schoolers washing out the bays at the LPD and LFD, collecting trash and recyclables, preparing and serving meals to community employees, planting flowers, cleaning up the fairgrounds, Saron Church and Goose Pond and helping out at the Humane Society.. ...
