LPD Chief files false informing charge after citizen tirade at council meeting

Following a meeting of the Linton City Council on March 11 during which Craig Hendry, 25, complained of his alleged mistreatment by the Linton Police Department, whom Hendry referred to as “armed thugs,” “aggressors” and a “terrorist organization” and requested the council abolish the department, Linton Police Chief Paul Clark refuted Hendry’s allegations and filed a preliminary charge of Class B misdemeanor false informing against Hendry, proving the allegations to be false through the use of police bodycam footage and audio recordings of the incident, which Hendry described to the council as a kidnapping by armed thugs who held him against his will in a concrete cage for 45 days.. ...
